Most of the items made in this studio are for sale. Many of them are available at a few other venues, such as Craft Connection in Nelson, Artisan in Trail, the Selkirk Weavers and Spinners Guild summer gift shop at the Doukhobor Discovery Centre in Castlegar and the Rouge Gallery and Loolu’s Lost Sheep in Rossland.
Items available include: soap, salves, vinegars, handwoven blankets, handwoven rugs, placemats, towels, scarves. Handspun yarn is sometimes available as well. Hand felted items include hats, scarves, wall hangings, sculptures. Hand dyed silk scarves are available at several places. We also attend the Mountain Market on Thursdays in July/August in Rossland.
Soap for sale: New is Tea Tree I and Tea Tree II with the essential oils of tea tree, eucalyptus, rosemary in one and tea tree, spearmint and peppermint in the other. Actually, you mostly will smell the tea tree and it is a clean, fresh smell.
Another new soap is Fisherman’s Friend with Anise oil which is reputed to disguise the scent of humans. This soap also has seaweed and salt as extra additives.
Gardener’s Soap with pumice and a Jasmine rice silk soap are a couple more new offerings.
All bars are $4.50 each with shipping extra, or you can pick them up at the studio or at Artisan Gift Shop in Trail, BC, or The Weavers Summer Gift shop at the Doukobor Discovery Centre in Castlegar, or locally at Loolu’s Lost Sheep in Rossland or The Craft Connection in Nelson. These are all fairly local and I will also be selling soap and other items on Thursdays from 3:00 to 6:30PM most weeks during July and August at the summer market in Rossland.
