Many of the spun, woven or felted items have used materials which we have hand dyed. We use weak acid dyes for most of the dyeing, with fibre reactive dyes for cottons, rayons and sometimes silk. Some natural dyes have been explored with favourites being cochineal, lichens and weeds.
We have recently been exploring with the dyeing and painting of silk scarves, using various resist techniques.
